Finished!

Hope you all are still stitching! Just wanted to share my final picture. I met my goal of finishing in less than a year!
Quaker Virtues, finished
For my next big project I think I'll try using grid lines instead of just the centers. The top right quadrant is my favorite. I added a turtle, as my son requested, and my name and year. I chose to leave out some of the tiny motifs that were repeated. More pictures on my Flickr page. Have a happy & healthy 2010! ~Laura

Halfway

Hi, everyone! I hope you all are well and busy stitching. Show us some updates when you have a moment to spare.

I am officially more than halfway done. I still love stitching this. Working the occasional letter or number of the contrasting color is a great pick-me-up. The lighting always seems to be poor when I get around to taking pictures so it doesn't look as good on screen as it does in person. You can see more of my pics at Flickr if you like.

QV, 4 months

I've been taking a picture on the last day of the month to mark my progress on Quaker Virtues. A few other projects have inserted themselves into my stitching queue but I still love working on this one. Wow, this thing is really growing!

Since this photo I have finished one more motif and the squirrel. My 9 y.o. son likes the little squirrel but he really wants me to add a turtle somewhere in the design. What do you all think, should I attempt it?

Hello

I'm Laura from Arkansas, USA. I am so happy to have found this group of stitchers! A member of the CountedCross Stitchers group at Ravelry pointed me to Vonna's blog when I lamented how difficult it was to find a picture of a finished Quaker Virtues sampler. Seeing an actual finished object of a project this size is inspirational. Thanks for letting me join in. I love the great pictures and variety of colors you all have chosen.

My Quaker Virtues sampler is on 40ct linen with the colors Wood Smoke (Gentle Art) and St Bernard (Crescent Colours). I started on Dec 31, 2008, but I don't have much stitching time each day so I expect you all will finish before me. Here's my progress so far:
