First Post

Thanks, Nicole for the invitation. I started Quaker Christmas in January, it is one of my big projects for this year. I am stitching QC on 28ct linen using DMC variations 4045, DMC 319, 814 and 680. Here is a picture of my progress.

I love Quaker designs and enjoy stitching this piece.

    Wow Ellen! Beautiful progress! I'm so glad you joined us! I was feeling lonely being the only one stitching QC! :) I love the threads you have chosen - they are so pretty!

    That is BEAUTIFUL Ellen! I love the darker bird... ooo, can't wait to watch your progress... I'm going to stitch QC too... as soon as those darn threads arrive! lol

    Beautiful colors! I have this pattern in my stash, but I didn't want to stitch it as called for. I like your color combinations. Did you decide in advance what you would stitch in what color? Or are you making those decisions as you go?

    Hi Julie,

    I did decided the colors in advance except for the dark green motifs. These will be decided as I stitch along to add accents to the piece.
